Matteo Peretti č nato a Roma nel 1975 ed č uno dei principali artisti emergenti in Italia. Nel 1995 si trasferisce negli Stati Uniti per conseguire una laurea in arti visive sotto la guida di Jhon Pearson ed Athena Tacha. Nel 1998 la prima personale a New York e dall’anno successivo č a Londra. Nella capitale inlese vive e lavora, ottiene un Master in Fine Arts presso il Central Saint Martins college of Arts ed espone in varie gallerie.
A Roma nel 2005 ha costituito il GIGA (Gruppo Italiano Giovani Artisti), uno spazio dove cura mostre ed eventi che tendono ad arricchire la proposta artistica italiana in collaborazione a diversi autori e critici di rilievo.

In 1995 he moves to the United States to obtain a B.A. in visual arts with John Pearson and Athena Tacha. In 1998 the first solo show in New York and by the following year he is in London. Here the young artist lives and produces, he exhibits in various galleries and obtains a fine art M.A. at the Central Saint Martins School of arts.
In 1995 Peretti founded in Rome the GIGA (Italian Group of Young Artists), an exhibition space where he curates shows and events in order to enrich the Italian art world and to create a liberal environment for discussion.
